5 Days Old Baby, Motion After Breast Feed, Odor, Yellow Or Dark Green Stools. Treatment?
Hi, Dr my baby is 5 days old and has frequent motion after every breast feed. In between when she pass gas she pass slight stool as well. This has started since day 4, before that she was passing motion once a day or once in 2 days. Since day 4, the motion is smelly as well which was not earlier. But the motion colour is generally yellow or bit dark green. Does she has loose motion and how to treat?

It is normal for breast fed babies to pass several motion a day due to increased gastrocolic reflex.
There is nothing to worry till she is active,accepts feed normally and is passing adequate amount of urine.
Keep a close watch on hydration status.
Mother should avoid gas forming food items.
