Hello, Treatment for dysfunctional uterine bleeding with Primolut N 5 mg. tablet thrice daily for 10 days. Bleeding usually is arrested within 2-3 days after initiation of treatment but medication must be continued till a total of 30 tablets are taken. Later on, it can be followed up from the 19th to the 26th day of each cycle for the next 3 cycles. Onset of period occurs a few days after cessation of treatment usually within 4-5 days. All this should be done in consultation with your doctor because it is a must to rule out organic lesions as a cause of bleeding. You should also take iron supplements as you are going to get anemic.
