35 Weeks Pregnant, Sharp Pain In Abdominal Area, Worsened Lately. Suggestions?

Hello, Im experiencing sharp pain in my abdominal area. im currently 35 weeks pregnant and these pains have been happening since 30 weeks. I consulted my midwife about this but she said that its because my daughter is getting ready to come out. I feel as if these pains have worsened lately. Could you give me some advice please? Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
If pains increase in frequency and intensity , then consult your doctor.
The labour pains start in loinand proceed toward groin, they are not stationary in one area.

If you pass fluids per vagina or you feel strong urge to pass motion while having pain, then it is likely that your baby is coming down.
In that case you have to rush to doctor.

I hope I have answered your query.
Best regards,
Dr. Neelam.
