Good evening doctor, My self Deepa .Age 34 married. today i got my thyroid reports. I have gained around 6 kgs in last 4 months though i am careful about my eating habits & also regular with exercise. Test name method value units reference range T3 C.L.I.A 96 60-200 T4 8.9 4.2-12.0 TSH 3.66 0.30-5.5 comments: suggested Thyronormalcy Thankyou for reading my query , please advise me on this reports

I read your thyroid profile report, which is absolutely normal.
There could be few reasons for weight gain other than hypothyroidism
One of the commonest reasons for gaining weight is erratic eating not necessarily over eating
The second reason could be lack of any physical activity
The third reason could be too much of the fats in your diet
Fourth reason could be depression.
Fifth one being stress
Sixth could be lack of sleep and finally
A rare disorder known as Cushing’s syndrome, caused by an excess of the hormone cortisol, which tends to store fats.
Consult a physician,who will investigate you for cause of weight gain
