3 Year Old With Itchy Rashes On The Hands. Allergy?
My three year old Son has just developed an itchy rash on the palms of his hands that was not there yesterday. He went to the Zoo yesterday and I am concerned he got something while being there. I am a stay at home Mom and my child does not go to any daycare type environment. The rash is only on his hands and not any other place on his body. My Pediatrician is not available on weekends. I am wondering what this could be?

This rash could be Allergic rash as it is itchy and there is a preceded history of probable exposure.
You can apply calamine lotion externally over rash for soothing and to decrease the itchy sensation.
If there is still itching oral antihistamines can be given, so consult your Pediatrician whenever he is available if rash increases or if it doesnt subside within 24 hours.
