Dear Tejaswini,

Force-feeding a child is absolutely the wrong thing to do at any age, and especially so with a toddler whose basic instinct is to eat when hungry and not otherwise. Look around you and ask other mothers and most will tell you that their "2-3 year old is not eating anything". And yet, most toddlers are healthy and active. This is because they will eat only as much as their body demands. At this stage, therefore, it is important not to feed junk to your kid. In fact, don't just discourage junk, keep it away from the house so that your daughter never sees it or gets tempted by it.

For the bloating and gas, it is better to take an anti-gas medicine. Your doctor has advised an antacid, which is inappropriate at this age. Also, please confirm that it is gas. An X-ray or/and an ultrasound of the abdomen might help.
