3 Year Old, Loose Watery Stools, Stomach Cramps, Gas. Nizonide Syrup A Good Solution?
I have a 3 yr old daughter who is suffering from loose motion on and off since last 6 days. In the last 20 minutes she had it thrice and absolutely watery. I wanted to know if nizonide syrup is a good solution for her to give her an immediate relief? She is also getting cramps in the tummy before every stool and is also passing a lot of gas along with the stool. She is already on enterogermina oral suspension since 6 days. Please guide me.

Hello , if the child is getting loose motion absolute watery since last 6 days.It is neccesary to see her hydration status for which you should consult with your pediatrician.In the meanwhile watch for 1.frequency of loose motion
2.quantity of each stool
3.any blood or mucous
4.urine output of child
5.any vomiting or fever
Red flag signs for immediate attention are
1.decrease urine output
2.persistent vomiting, fever
3.Dullness decrease activity
4.decrease oral intake
5.Sunken eyes
Oral nizonide with oflox can help but before giving consult with your pediatrician .
Start with ORS after each loose motion and Syrup Zinconia 3 ml BD.
