Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
After the infection comes down, the Doctor may advise tonsillectomy as there are frequent attacks of tonsillitis. As of now a change in antibiotic may be required for which you will need to consult your Doctor.

dear rebekah
recurrent tonsillitis has no treatment in allopathy except to go for surgery of the same and after doing so, swelling and pain remains for sometimes
here i can guide you with some of the homeopathic medicines which are showing some excellent results in tonsillitis
baryta carb 200, merc sol 200 5-5-5 from each 2 dram bottle each for about two months and then after report me back or mail me on drpemalshah@gmail.com

while we wanted to treat such kind of chronic cases we have to go through their case history in details means after knowing the causes and onset of the disease medicines will get changed
so if you will not find response with above mentioned medicines
write to me i will forward you case history format

and will treat your kid's tonsillitis very well and very easily
nothing to worry
all the best

culture/sensitivity of the material obtained from the tonsil will help finding a suitable antibiotic to control infection
once controlled kid should be on prophylactic antibiotics to prevent recurrence
