29 Months Baby, 11 Kg In Weight, Lesser Height For Age. Suggestions To Gain Weight And Height?

Hi, my son is 29 months old weighing only 11kgs and also a little shorter then the actual height of his peers. But very active and reaching milestones. He hasn't gained much weight since his 1st birthday. Just gained 1 kg in 17 months. He's very fussy about eating food. Any suggestions to help him gain some weight and height? Is it a matter of concern?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

A comment on the height can be made only if I have his current height.

Please give your kid a balanced diet rich in calories and proteins. Give him milk, eggs etc. Monitor his height and weight. If you feel that there is no gain in height and weight despite a balanced diet contact your doctor.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
