Give Calpol syrup four times ie every six hrs.
Paracetamol is the safest drug for fever. Dose is 15mg/kg/dose given every 6 hrs. But you are giving in a higher frequency, that will result in higher dosage per day.
If fever is not subsiding and since there is a risk of febrile convulsions, you may give meftal say twice a day. Dose of meftal (100mg/5ml) 3.5 ml per dose. Make sure atleast 1 hr gap is there between calpol and meftal administration. Do not give meftal too frequently.
And if your doctor has advised you to give some medicines for convulsions during fever, you have to give that too.
