I apprehend that there is more than meets the eye here. I cannot straightaway connect the throat problems to his various pains. I am thinking here of some autonomic nervous system problem. Could you speak to your primary doctor and ask them to look for "catecholamine
hormones" in his urine and blood as a start. I am afraid this is what I think may lead to the answer for the pains; as to the frequent throat attacks, it may not be related at all, and may need a proper treatment regimen.
