Now gastric problem along with constipation(occasionally) also arised. It irritates me and I am feeling totally uncomfortable. When I told my doctor about it she told it is all common. Kindly provide me some remedies especially for the taste change and nausea. I am advised to have only folic acid tablet.

Dear Resmi,
Welcome to HCM.
Your doctor has done the right thing. In early pregnancy, it is not unusual to have symptoms that you have. In pregnancy it is best to avoid all unnecessary medicines as it may have bad effect on your child.
Drink plenty of water, eat lots of green vegetables and fruits. That should take care of constipation and acidity.

Hello resmi;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Yes what your doctor said is right that all the symptoms of nausea;acidic taste in throat is absolutely normal and it will reduce and subside in coming 4 weeks so i guess there is no reason to worry.Since the complaints are slightly better at the time of eating that means you have a gastro esophageal reflux also so either you can ask your doctor and take tablets for vomiting and nausea or you can simply take a antacid syrup like digecaine or Mucaine gel or even plain digene will help you.
Take care.
Thanks

Hi Resmi,
The symptom you are experiencing are quite physiological during early pregnancy. You are experiencing heart-burn which is acidic secretion from stomach going upwards into your food pipe. Also you have constipation which is common in early pregnancy. Common remedial measures will include

(1) Avoid smoking, coffee, spicy diet as much as possible.
(2) Elevate the head-end of your bed upwards by 15 cm after you have your meal.
(3) Avoid late night meals.
(4) Eat good quantity of fresh fruits and vegetables to increase bulk of stools and thus preventing constipation.

Thank you.
