10 month old baby, fifth percentile for weight. On breast milk, no appetite. Diet to put on weight?

My baby is 10 months old and in the 5th percentile for weight and height. She is exclusively breastfed, but eats very little solids. She won t take formula mixed with anything or plain. She doesn t like baby food texture, and eats mostly table food. She just eats very little. When she nurses during the day the duration is usually3-5 minutes. She won t drink anything out of a bottle, and drinks very little liquid at a time. She s never had over 4 oz of anything at a time. Any suggestions to get her to gain weight?

First thing is to stop breast feeding. Although it is recommended that breast feeding can be continued up to 1 year, but by then a child be eating whatever the family eats (just the quantity is smaller). And by this time breast milk only provides volume so your child quenches her hunger but her nutritional needs are not met. So stop breast feeding. It may be difficult initially but eventually she will eat when she is hungry. Get her grandparents or father involved in feeding her. If she sees you all the time she will want breast milk. Else she will have to eat. Also try to find out her taste preferences. And try a to get a nutritional diet in that. Get in touch with a dietitian if required.
Hope that helps
God bless you
