Brief Answer:
Needs treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Bleeding persisting for more than a week can be due to hormonal disturbance caused by changing hormones in perimenopausal age group but it needs to be treated to decrease the blood loss from your body.
You need hemostatic agents and hormonal pills like oral contraceptives to control the bleeding and to regularize the cycles.
I would encourage you to review with a competent gynecologist for detailed evaluation and the treatment.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
Dr. Rakhi Tayal.
