X-ray Showed Crack In Humerus. No Surgery Done. How Long Will This Take To Heal?
Question: I fell and x-ray showed crack in humerous , no surgery only physical theory. This happened on nDec. 22 I am a 82 year old white female with very good health. How long will this take to heal?

The time taken for a fracture to heal will depend the nature and severity of the fracture (i.e. whether it was a hairline fracture or whether there was a gap between the broken ends or whether it was a comminuted fracture - with several broken pieces). The age and general health condition also plays a role.
Generally, for simple (uncomplicated) humerus fractures, it take approximately 6 weeks for healing to take place.
