Question: am getting over bad dose pneumonia , take seretide 100 been ill due to pollen inhalation , on antibiotics will steroids help

Steroids would help if your airways (not just surrounding lung tissue) are inflamed along with the pneumonia.

This is possible since you require seretide inhaler, this means that you are predisposed to inflammation/irritation of the airways.

This can present with persistent coughing,shortness of breath or the whistling/wheezing that you are hearing.
The maximum dose for an adult is 40mg a day.
