Brief Answer:
yes, meth must be avoided near surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

The answer to your query is -Yes, meth use can pose harm during your surgery.

There are several ways in which it may prove dangerous-

1. The treating tram can simply cancel your procedure if the meth is detected in pre operative blood tests..

2. The meth can interact with the anesthetic agent used in surgery and can lead to difficulty in managing vitals.

3. This will also possibly pose difficulty in healing post-operative due to disturbance in liver and kidney functions.

So, it is advisable that you discuss the use of meth with your surgeon prior to the procedure ..;

or best would be to avoid using meth at least one week in advance the schedule. So I think it is better you postpone the surgery by a week informing the surgeon about its use.

Hope the reply is useful for you.
