Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Sifasi 5000 contains HCG - this is the hormone that supports the baby in the initial months of pregnancy, until 12 - 14 weeks, when the placenta takes over this function.
In cases of high risk pregnancy ( elderly mother, history of miscarriages, history of infertility, threatened miscarriage, spotting or bleeding ) - this is prescribed to provide proper support to the embryo.
In addition to this, if there is any high risk factor in this pregnancy, regular progesterone support also should be taken.
Daily 5 mg per day folic acid supplements are a must.
Your wife is 34, and in addition, if the doctor has suspected any other risk factor, this must be the reason for the prescription.
All the best
