Thanks for your query. I understand your concern with the symptoms. The above mentioned symptom of burning sensation in chest after having food is characteristic of GERD/Gastro-oesophagal reflux disease. In other words, the sphincter between your food pipe and stomach is lax causing leak of digestive acids to your food pipe that is situated roughly in area of chest. Smoking or alcohol use can worsen the symptom and hence better to avoid. Effective medication include ranitidine and omeprazole that inhibit acid secretion. Hope you found the information useful.
