Brief Answer:
both codiene and endone are of similar potency

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The oxycodone or endone is almost similar in potency to codiene ( both are considered as mid range opioids). So, you may use what ever you find better for yourself (as there can be individual differences with the preparations).

The nicotine patch is used for treating tobacco addiction and handle its withdrawal.
The usual side effects of nicotine patch are sore mouth, nausea vomiting, dizziness , blurr vision, dizziness, headcahes, abdominal pain, acidity , reflux, etc.

Uncommonly it may lead to cardiac problems like: palpitation, arrythmias etc.

The side effects can be individual specific and vary from person to person. You have to keep in mind the above mentioned side effects and start the spray as per your doctor advice. Some side effects may wean away with time.

Only after using the spray for some days you will get to know of its effect on your body.

You may however try to use some home remedies like putting clove or cardamon or mixture of clove- cardamon-sugar- fennel seeds in your mouth to reduce the craving for tobacco.
Try using deep breathing techniques to help your self during craving hours.
You may also eat soemthing - a fruit or salad just at the time when you have the most craving.

There are some aproved medicines to treat tobacco addiction.

Wish you good luck.

Answered by Dr. Manisha Gopal (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
its ok,just be in touch with doctor initially

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Nicotine spray is an approved method of preventing withdrawal symptoms of tobacco. If you dont find any problematic side effect with it then you may continue with it.
Usually the side effect with nicotine spray weans off with time and then there is no major problem.
Still it will be good to be in touch with your treating team while on this spray for first few weeks for having a safe side.
You can use the other methods along with the spray (they may help in reducing the frequency of its use).

Good luck.

Brief Answer:
takes 5-10years for complete recovery

Detailed Answer:
Hello

You have stopped smoking 12 weeks back which is a significant duration.
Cardio or any sort of exercise is good for bringning back normal lung functioning and for reducing craving episodes.

Please note that- The exercises, espically cardio should not be started itensively right after quitting smoking.

There are several studies done on the beneficial results of exercise including cardio on the body after qutitting smoking. These however have a limitation that they are based on cold turkey smoking cessation. The people who are taking any drug to help withdrawal ,like champix or nicotine tablet or sprays or drug like bupropion, cannot properly relate to the benefits given in research papers.
Such people have reduced or delayed or suppressed withdrawal features comapred to someone who quits without any help.
Such people may also have side effects due to the drug they are using for managing their cravings and that may interfere in the recovery.

So, the reply to your question is that-
If you dont have any comorbidity, like diabetes or anything else, you may start with cardio.
Try to go slow initially and then you may increase the regimn according to your tolerance.
Do the exercise under guidance ( at least for initial few weeks).
The time to have comolete recovery for an average user (1 pack per day) generally takes 5-10 years post smoking cessation.

it includes normalisation of both risk of developing diabetes or stroke and normalisation of lung functioning ( same as that of a non smoker).

Hope the reply helps
Wish you good luck!
