When Does Vision Improvement Occur After An Eye Surgery?
Question: hello dr...my 3 month child had cataract in both eyes since birth...his right eye surgery has been done 15 days befoe...i just want to know that how much time will it take to gain his vision...thankss

i asked u for his vision bcoz his surgery has been done 15 days before and still he has no focus....and his next eye surgery has been scheduled after one month...thanksss

Since you are doing it no need to be worried.
The next thing is to get refraction and correction done and to use spectacles after cataract surgery. This will improve vision and prevent development of lazy eye.
Hence I advice you to attend follow up regularly and get vision and refraction testing done frequently at least once in a year.
If you do these things correctly as advised by your treating ophthalmologist, your child will be fine and he will have near normal vision.
