Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

In orthostatic hypotension the symptoms occur within seconds to a few minutes after standing up from a lying or sitting position. It is not very characteristic feeling dizzy after moving around for some minutes because for that time the regulatory mechanisms should have enter in action by bringing the blood pressure in normal values.
If these episodes of orthostatic hypotension have happened always like this during these 10 years ,he don't need to worry. If this has changed recently he may need to discuss it with his treating doctor and he can perform a detailed physical examination and some tests just to be sure that it is not due to an underlying medical condition.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.

He has nothad this happen on more than 10 years and he was never diagnosed any condition. What disturbed me somuch aabout it is that he totally blacked out and remembers nothing between feeling dizzy and leaning forward onto the wall in front of himand waking on the floor after hitting the sink and banging up his face and hand and arm. I think he should see a dr. Do you?

Brief Answer:
he need to consult a physician.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Considering the information your gave,he absolutely needs to see a doctor.
They seem to be severe episodes of orthostatic hypotension that cause syncope (episodes with loss of consciousness).
He needs a complete evaluation to exclude heart condition (stenosis of aortic valve ,Constrictive pericarditis, Heart failure etc) autonomic dysfunction due to neurological disorders ,adrenal insufficiency .
He need to do some tests including :
-Serum electrolyte
-Glucose level
-ECG
-Heart ultrasound

It might be just severe episodes of orthostatic hypotension but first underlying medical conditions should be excluded.

Take care,
Dr.Rovena
