Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

The baby's heart starts to beat at fifth week of pregnancy but it can be detectable through a transvaginal or abdominal ultrasound at 6 week of pregnancy (6 weeks after the first day of your last period).
So in your case ,it is a bit early so the heartbeat of the baby can not be detected yet.

Progesterone gel supports the development of placenta and the fetus. The use of progesterone gel is indicated in women with a low level of progesterone on blood.
Sometimes a low level of Progesterone production on body ,can cause small bleeding .In this case taking progesterone gel as a supplement can stop the spotting.

Hope it helps.
Feel free to ask for every question your might have.I would be happy to help.

Take care.
