Brief Answer: Till 5 years og age observation is required. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for posting the query on XXXXXXX After going through your query, I would like to comment the following: 1. Your daughters seem to be suffering from childhood bronchitis. Nebulisation with asthalin and budecort during acute episode is required. Once the episode is controlled, inhaler therapy with baby mask and spacer may be required for maintenance therapy. Normally such episodes disappear by 5 years of age else they are indicative of childhood asthma. In such cases serum IgE is an important investigation. 2. It is recommended to get your daughters evaluated by a Pediatric pulmonologist/ pediatrician/pulmonologist for detailed evaluation. I hope I have answered your query. I will be glad to answer follow up queries if any. Please accept my answer if you have no follow up queries. Regards Dr. Gyanshankar Mishra MBBS MD DNB Consultant Pulmonologist
