Question: On 8th Aug I will be 22 weeks pregnant. today I checked weight it's 74.6 kg and my weight before conception was 68.3 kg, my height is 156 cm... Till now I gained 6.3 kg.. so I wanted to know if the weight gain is normal or I'm gaining too much

Usually total weight gain during pregnancy is 10 kilos out of which at least 4 kilos is gained after 28 weeks of pregnancy. Till 12 weeks there is almost 1-2 kilo weight gain. Till 22 weeks you should not have gained more than 4 kilos. Your weight gain is slightly on a higher side. It is best to avoid taking fatty foods or calorie rich foods and try to have high protein and nutritious diet.

You can start walking and mild exercises in case these do not cause any discomfort.
You can have milk eggs pulses and milk products without any fat to improve the protein intake.
