Brief Answer:
Please Clarify the following....

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM..

I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

Now Blood pressure is a highly variable parameter for every person and shows several patterns depending upon several factors (i.e. any kind of stress, physical activity, medication induced, resting, diurnal variation etc.)..

So please let me know the following so that I can guide you in a better way-

Since when are you having high blood pressure ?

What all medications are you taking(please mention the specific names and their dosage) ?

Any other medical illness ? Any other particular medications are you on for any reason ?

Once again, I'm informing you that blood pressure parameter is highly variable, and it depends from person to person.. eg. for some person 140/80 mmhg can be considered normal, while for the others it can be borderline high..

Your body weight and height comes in important consideration too while recording BP ..

The only way to tell you about your optimum BP, is after a few days of complete charting of your resting BP at a timely interval through out the day including prior & after the medications, followed by an assessment of the likely trend of them ..

I hope I was able to explain your query.. please let me know if you're having any further queries, I'll be glad to guide you..

Take Care
Kind Regards
