If your specialist doctor has prescribed you these combination of anti-epileptic drugs ,you should take it.
Usually when only one anti-epileptic drug is not sufficient to control and prevent seizures ,instead of increasing the dosage ,it is recommended to add another anti-epileptic drug to the treatment.This is done to avoid side effects due to increase of dosage.
Gabapentin /Levetiracetam ( Neurotin /Keppra) is a very common combination ,very effective in preventing seizures.
Continue to take these drugs as prescribed by your doctor.
