Question: on vacation and my aunt ran out of her norvasc. can i give her lopressor for 3 days?

Hi and welcome to HCM
At this point it would be smarter not to take any medicines and measure blood pressure frequently. Lopressor is different medicine comparing to norvasc which is calcium channel blocker and lopressor is beta blocator. they both lower bp but act on different receptors and has its own indications. Generally,nozhing serious would happen if she take lopressor for few days,but i wouldnt recommend it. I suggest to follow BP,if it increases to 160/100 or more,then she should take lopressor. If not,then she can wait for these 3 days. WIsh you good health. Regards
