Brief Answer:
You are probably having paraphimosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
I am Dr Aslam here to help you.

I guess you are talking about a retracted foreskin, that is difficult to return, with swollen glans penis-this is what we call paraphimosis.
This usually happens when a constricted (phimotic) foreskin is forcefully retracted over the glans, resulting in a constriction band around the glans causing obstruction to venous and lymphatic drainage leading to glans edema. This needs early treatment.Otherwise,it will eventually lead to progressive edema, arterial occlusion, and finally gangrene.

When done early, ice bags and gentle manual compression of the glans usually decreases edema and allows reduction of foreskin. If this fails,we will need a minor incision of the preputial band, followed later by circumcision after edema and inflammation has resolved.

I advise you to see a urologist/general surgeon at the earliest for management.
Meanwhile, apply ice bags instead of coconut oil.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have further query,I will be happy to help.Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Kindly see the detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
As this was reduced manually with out an incision,it may not be necessary to go for circumcision now, even though some surgeons prefer to do.
Anyhow if this recur after sometime, circumcision will become necessary.Your doctor will discuss this with you in detail.
Meanwhile, try to keep good local hygiene,by regular cleaning after foreskin retraction while bathing.Poor local hygiene with resultant infection is a major risk factor for phimosis and paraphimosis.

Regarding safety of surgery, circumcision is a very minor procedure, done on an OP basis under local anethesia, usualy without any complications and faster recovery in 5-7 days.Ther is added advantage of decreased risk of STDs and carcinoma penis.

Hope now you got cleared. If you have no further questions, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wishing you good health,Thank you.
