Question: For months I have problem with headache. Last time it lasted 38 days. I have straightened cervical spin.I ant to acupuncture and physiotherapy. I also exercise. I'm 41 years old, high 1.64 an 54 kg. I'm a layer and a lot of sitting. Now again I have a headache the last 6 days. The doctor gave me to drink every night sibilium tablets (half tablet 10mg every night), but for now they are not helping. I made MR head and cervical spine neck. Results were normal except degenerative changes in the cervical spine. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you.

Headache exists throughout the day and night. Perhaps stronger during the day and evening. I use tablets caffetin. Ibruprofen and paracetamol does not help me. The last time I had a headache that lasted from late February to early April a total of 38 days.

Best regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for getting back

The anti migraine prophylaxis you are taking (sibelium) is not adequate. I recommend that you take Tab Sibelium 10 mg at night and an addition Betablocker, Tab betaloc 25 mg once in the morning.
For the pain, the best pain killer for headache is Naprosyn 500mg which can be taken twice daily for 3 to 4 days.
Apart from the medication I also recommend the following

1. Sleep on time daily and aqequately atleast for 8 hours a day
2. Take short breaks in the afternoon after lunch
3. Avoid triggering factors like smoke, dust, hunger, smell, strong light, etc
4. Exercise daily, yoga has helped many people get rid of headaches

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Regards
