What Is The Cause And Treatment For Constipation?
Question: my 2.5 year old year daughter has been recently (2months) shifted from diapers to closet training. she did have problems initially (2 weeks) in passing stool in the closet. she seemed comfortable in diapers. but gradually it changed but not completely. she seems to being having constipation frequently. like she goes to toilet only 2-3 times a week. but in diaper there are 95% chances of passing stool. she is a poor eater and offers a lot of resistance in drinking milk and eating egg and rice (red) . I have noticed that days wen she doesnt drink milk she has constipation. she drinks water sufficiently ( I think ). her urine is plain color and urinates every 1.5 hours.
is it bcos of the shift she has constipation or is it due to lack of milk / fibres?
what should be done on such days of constipation?
wat shud be done to avoid this? juices help?

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
Relax,there is nothing to worry.
Constipation is mostly dietary in nature.
I suggest you to increase fibre in her diet.
Give green leafy vegetsbles, whole fruit like papaya XXXXXXX oranges rather than juices, cereals, pulses
Give warm water with half tsf of honey when she is constipated.
Toilet training also takes some time for adaptation.
