What Is The Cause And Treatment For Chronic Throat Infection?

default
Posted on Thu, 17 Jul 2014
Question: I have relocated to XXXXXXX almost 1.5 years back and since then my throat has been causing issues. Very often I would get a throat infection, with bad throat pain and fever accompanied by weakness. I am diabetic as well. I had taken medications earlier in th eform of anti-biotics, syrups, gargles, etc but it keeps coming back. All the doctors say that it is because of pollution.

Please suggest something that can sort this problem for once and all; or even if something that helps me keep it to the minimum.

Brief Answer:
chronic throat infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having infection of your tonsil.
Cause being polluted air ,water ,food.
Acute infection treated with oral antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines for 5 to 7 days.
Chronic infection treated by surgical removal of tonsils. So you want a permanent cure get your tonsils operated.
Prophylactic treatment includes avoiding oily foods, curds, cold items, citrus fruits, food which has lot of preservatives.
Improve your immunity by eating multivitamin tablet and nutritious food with 40 min of exercises.
Drink boiled water only. Consult your doctor and discuss my view with him. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.

I have got my tonsils checked with an ENT Specialist, in fact, he is family. He confirmed that I do not have tonsil infection, just that the walls of my throat get damaged because of pollution.

I hope the above suggestions stand correct even now. Please confirm.

Brief Answer:
above suggestions stand correct.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your follow up query.

If not tonsillitis, then if it's the walls of pharynx, then it is pharyngitis.
Same suggestions holds good even for this, except surgery. Because we can't remove the pharynx.

Wish you good health.

Thanks.
