Brief answer....controlled diet and exercises Detailed answer.. Hello, Thanks for the query. It is indeed a big challenge for the person to loose weight but a sustained effort definitely bears fruits. First if all you should see to it that you are not suffering from hypothyroidism because a hypothyroid state won't let you shed your weight unless and until your thyroid status is brought to normal. So get your thyroid function tests done. The most important cornerstone for shedding the weight is by controlling your diet and doing regular aerobic exercises for at least 45 minutes to one hour a day. Diet control requires .. Avoiding sugar, sugary foods and colas. Avoiding deep fried foods. Avoiding junk foods like pizzas, burgers, pastas etc. Taking fresh fruits, green vegetables and nuts. Taking lean chicken and fish and avoiding mutton. Give a try yourself by adopting a diet control method yourself. In case, you feel that you are unable to do dieting yourself, then you can take the help of a dietician. Remember, since you have put on weight in many months and years and so it is going to take many months to achieve the goal. Be patient and stick to your target. I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query. Best of luck Thanks
