Thanks for writing in.
The cost of cataract surgery will vary vary all over India in different cities, hospitals and the operating surgeons.
To help us help you better, please answer the following questions:
What is the age of the person to be operated?
Where in India do you want to get operated?
Whether you would like to go in for surgery in private set up, government hospital, super or multi speciality hospitals?
So depending upon the IOL (intra ocular lens), city and hospitals the cost can be anywhere from 15-20 thousand and even 50 thousand along with the IOL (that is the intra ocular lens).
Awaiting your reply.
Take care.

Thanks for writing in.
Cataract surgery at Vizag will approximately cost Rs 0000-Rs 20,000 per eye. There are several hospitals where you can get it done:
1-Vision care Centre Hospital at Railway New Colony,Vizag
2-Regional Eye Hospital Seethammapeta,Vizag
3-Vasan Eye Care Hospital Waltair Main Road,Vizag,
You can contact them and enquire about the exact rates.
An IOL is an intra-ocular lens. In cataract surgery, the natural lens which has become clouded is removed and is replaced by an intraocular lens so that normal vision can be restored.
The lens available or used are either Indian or imported and based on the quality of the lens the price changes so if the lens put is costly the cost of surgery will increase.
Hope this answer is helpful to you.
