What is pain in tail bone called?

is there a name medical term for the bone we sometimes call the "sit'' bone. The pain is right in the middle of my left buttucks

The tail bone (the bone located exactly in the center between the two buttocks is known as coccyx. Pain in the tail bone is termed Coccydynia. Superiorly the coccyx is connected to the sacrum. The blade like bones in the pelvis on either side and in the buttock region are known as innominate bones.
