what injury occurs to wrists and back when placed in a contorted position (feet elevated 30 to 32 inches from floor and required to hold body weight with one hand for 40 to 45 minutes). This happened to me in military basic training

Brief Answer:
most likely muscle pull or ligament sprain

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing to us.
If you are holding the body weight on your wrist then it may cause stretching of the wrost joint capsule and muscle pull of fore arm muscle. If you are doing it repeatedly gor a longer duration then it may cause stress fracrure of the bones of the wrist joint. Regarding yhe back it can cause paraspinal muscle pull. If doing it repeatedly with hyper extension of the back can cause stress fracture in posterior elements of the spine as happen in athlets. Thanks.
