Brief Answer:
All reports are normal except for marginal anemia

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) MCH levels are marginally high (33 picogram is the limit and your value is 33.9). This is nothing to worry about.

2) RDW stands for Red blood cells distribution width. This is has to be in the range of 11.5 % to 14.5 %. Your values are 11.8% which is normal. Lower levels indicate possibility of anemia. Your values appear to be normal and there is nothing to worry.

3) MPV stands for Mean Platelet volume which should be between 7.5 to 11.5. In your case it is 10.2 which is fairly normal.

4) Mean RBC count should be between 4.5 to 6.5 million. Your levels are 4.09 million which is slightly less.

5) Overall your report is not very bad and appears to be in range. There is borderline anemia in terms of mean RBC count.

6) All you need to do is take iron supplements. There are over the counter available medicines that you can take.

I hope I answered your query. I will be available for any follow up query you have.

Regards,
Dr. Mahesh Koregol
