Brief Answer:
Repeat TVS next week

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about non visualization of cardiac activity.

Following is my reply:

1) You have completed 6 weeks of pregnancy by your dates.

2) Fetal cardiac activity and fetal pole should have been seen by now if ultrasound scan is done transvaginally ( TVS ).

3) If the ultrasound is done by transabdominal ( TAS) route, it takes another week to see the same.

4) I suggest you repeat another ultrasound scan preferably TVS next week to identify the fetal pole and cardiac activity.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya
