What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Question: I had an abortion in week 7 through tablets misoprostol due to anembryonic pregnancy. A scan was done after a weeks time which indicated that I have Tiny residual products with minimal vascularity measuring 1.5 x 0.6 x 1.2 cms in the mid uterine region. Consulted a doctor who advised that I repeat the dose of misoprostol once again. i inserted 4 (200mg) tablets in the vagina but had no bleeding. Please let me know if this is of any concern should i have this tissue removed by surgical method or will it pass out during my next periods. what does tissue with vascularity mean... is this of any concern. My last LMP was XXXXXXX 3rd 2016 and I had an abortion by tablets on the 6th August 2016, had bleeding till the 12th August 2016. As per doctor advise again took tablets on the 19th night but have had no bleeding or cramps. I am really concerned that the remaining tissue might become cancerous.

I suggest you to get your blood hcg level to know the viability of the tissue.
If it is high you can repeat it after 48 to 72 hrs to know it's increase or decrease. If it increases it is better to remove it.
Hcg level can be compared with the scan findings to take the decision.
Consult your gynaecologist and discuss with her.

Dear Sir,

As per your suggestion I have done an blood HCG and the value is 18.5, please suggest.
I have contacted my gyno who has suggested that I can wait till my next period. Please suggest if it is fine to wait till the next period and what should be the further course of action after my next period if any required.

Ideally you should be repeating hcg to know the status after 72 hrs.
Since you had your abortion on August 6th ,this value of hcg can be accepted.
Now you can wait till the next period as your doctor suggested.If there is delay of periods , beyond August 10th ,you can undergo an ultrasound scan.
IF the bleeding is excessive or prolonged ,you will need a gynaec check up.

Dear Sir,

I think you mean 10th September, please let me know if I have to undergo an ultrasound after my next periods or before my periods in case there is delay and should I be taking any medicines to induce my periods if there is a delay beyond 1 week. Also, I am feeling we weak and tired after my abortion. would you please suggest any supplements for me. Also suffering from lack of sleep terribly because of which also i am feeling very tired.

Am sorry for the wrong dates.Since you had last bleeding on Aug 12th ,I approximately mentioned September 10th.
Yes,you can definitely wait till September 15th and do an ultrasound scan if no bleeding or profuse bleeding .
Have you checked your blood for aneamia or diabetes etc.
You can eat healthy food esply green leafy vegetables and fruits .Also take iron and multivitamins suppliments .Hope my answer helps you. Regards
