Question: I am 11 days late for period, lmp on 25th Sep, I have 28 day cycles on the dot usually... I have some signs, sore breasts, tired, dark nipples, constipation, increased white discharge, no spotting whatsoever... I have had multiple HPT and a doctors blood test all are negative (0.9hcg level) I had an ultrasound yesterday which showed a bulky uterus, thickened endometrium of 16mm, follicles on ovaries with no free fluid... could I still be pregnant and its just too early to show up, my husband and I had intercourse 3 days before my period was due and mid cycle, I'm not sure if I ovulated...

Brief Answer:
Hormonal disturbances likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, stress or hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease.
Negative urine and blood pregnancy test usually rules out pregnancy.
However, sometimes the ovulation is delayed and hence the conception is delayed, then the pregnancy test comes positive a bit delayed.
I will suggest you to get a repeat urine pregnancy test after one week, if still negative, then you should get your hormonal profile done including thyroid hormone levels and prolactin levels to confirm the diagnosis and get appropriate treatment.
Multiple follicles in the ovaries and thickening of endometrium is also present in PCOS.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
