Question: Hi Doctors. My baby is 40 days old and his stool analysis is:
Mucus (+)
Pus cells 10-12 /HPF
R.B.Cs 0-2 /HPF
Stool for reducing sugars (++)
PH (stool) 5

What does this mean? I am so worried

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

In this report pus cells are 10 to 12/HPF which suggests that child has stomach infection and antiboitics needs to be given.

Mucus can occur normally in child.

Stool for reducing sugar is positive, which suggests allergy to lactose in milk. Milk needs to be changed to lactose free formula feed.
