Question: Hi,

What does many superficial, some intermediate and occasional groups of metaplastic squamous cells present means? It says negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy.

I have gone through your question and i understand .
You have done a PAP -test and these are the results of the test .Right?

Superficial and Intermediate groups of metaplastic cells are normal changes ( the shape of squamous cell changes) that may happen due to hormonal changes or irritation of Uterine Cervix.It's a benign, normal findings in woman's uterus .
You have a negative result for any cancerous changes.
