What Does This EKG Report Indicate?

Question: Hi I had a 12 lead EKG, which I never knew the results of. It stated that my EKG showed a septal infarct of an unknown time. It said my result was abnormal. I know an infarct is a heart attack? I am 55 year old female, and this was the first time an EKG showed this. Could you fill me in on this?

Brief Answer:
Get a TMT done.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
See a septal infarct that ECG interpretation machine reads can be normal finding or can be due to previous unnoticed heart attack.
In such case, I would recommend you to go for Tread mill test (TMT) done that would reveal the evidence of any ongoing ischemia if you have.
Moreover you should also get a Fasting Blood sugar, Lipid profile done.
Treatment if required would be decided based on the reports.
Review with Reports.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
