What Does This Beta HCG Level During Pregnancy Indicate?

Question: Hi,my LMP was on 4th August. I did a UPT on 4th September and it showed positive. I went to see my OBGYN on 6th and she asked me to take beta hcg test which showed 497.Thus my pregnancy was confirmed.But I don't seem to have any symptoms other than increased breast size and frequent urination,no tiredness,no nausea,no vomitting.I've been asked to come for Ultrasound scan on 27th September. I have the following queries:
1. Is my beta hcg level normal as on 6th September addressed above? I have been asked to take MyHcg 5000 injection every ten days.So is the hcg level low?
2.Having no symptoms is making me worried. I can feel pressure on my lower abdomen while urinating,and slight cramps now and then but no bleeding(she prescribed duvadilan tablet for it).No symptoms and cramps are indicative of miscarriage?
3.Can you please help me calculate which week I'm currently in?
This is my first pregnancy I'm worried sick.

Your answers:

It is NOT low . It is normal. But to make sure that it stays normal we give b hcg.

Every woman does not get symptoms. Even if you DO not get any symptoms it can be a perfectly normal pregnancy.

LMP= 4 august. Todays date= September 19th

SO you are (31-4)= 27 days of aug + 19 days of september = 46 days pregnant = 6 weeks 4 days pregnant

Looking at my HCG levels,do you think there's a possibility of twins?
Please advise me about avoiding any particular fruit or vegetable in my diet.
Can you please explain about the occurrence of occasional cramps in lower abdomen?

Sonography pelvis to find out

Dear XXXXXXX,

It is not possible to tell twins or not from B hcg. Get a sonography pelvis to find out.

Eat healthy, non oily food. All vegetables and fruits except papaya are allowed during pregnancy. Avoid cheese.

If you are having occasional cramps get a sonography pelvis. Also are you having burning sensation while passing urine?

If yes then you will need a urine culture.

Thanks a lot for your detailed reply.

Yes I do have burning sensation while passing urine but not all the time. May be 3 out of 10 times in a day. I felt it was dehydration and started to drink more than my usual 2 liters a day.
Does burning sensation mean an infection? If yes,I hope the medicines to cure it will not harm the baby.

Yes, it can be urinary infection and Nitrofurantoin is the drug, which is safe during pregnancy for urine infection.

Do not take random antibiotics and first get a urine culture.
