What Does These Urinalysis Indicate?

Question: My daughter is 20 months old she was suffering from fever a week back, a paediatrician suggested for urine test as per report PH is 6.0 Sg 1.028 pus cell 1 to 2 epithelial cells seen What is inference of it?

Brief Answer: She is suffering from UTI. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXX Thanks for writing to HCM I have gone through your daughter's history and reports in detail. Most probably she is suffering from urinary tract infection(UTI).This is indicated by the presence of pus and epithelial cells. She need proper clinical examination and few more investigations. Investigations include Routine hemogram,renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Further investigations can be done if needed. Ultrasound of abdomen can detect other associated pathology. At present she need proper antibiotics after culture and sensitivity report.
