What Does The Transvaginal Ultrasound Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Apr 2015
Question: I had a routine transvaginal ultrasound about a month ago, and a transvaginal doppler a few days later. A few days after that, I came down with q GI bug with one episode of vomiting and about two weeks of slight but urgent episodes of loose stools. My belly is still somewhat bloated, and I'm more tired than usual. My GYN says all the results were perfectly normal, but my symptoms seem similar to ovarian cancer. Am I overreacting, especially since the tests were normal, or should I go back to my GYN?

Brief Answer:
For sure you are overreacting!

Detailed Answer:
Hi am thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported and all the disturbing thoughts about ovarian cancer. Please, your symptoms are in no way suggestive of an ovarian cancer. Considering the fact that recent testing did't show any abnormality, it is almost a certified fact that you have no cancer of the ovary at this time.

Also, feeling bloated and somewhat tired are typical after having a GI infection. This would normally take a few days for the body to recover fully. Please, stop getting too worried about cancer at this time.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
