Brief Answer:
She has tuberculosis(Potts spine) of D9-D10 level only.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

After going through your query and MRI report(You have attached MRI report and not Biopsy report) I concluded that your mother is having tuberculosis of D9-D10 level only. As per report abscess extend from D8-D10 level.

It is extension of abscess outside spine and not disease in spine. Disease in spine is at D9-D10 level only. MRI also show disc prolapse of L4-L5 and C5-C6 level which is unrelated and mild, insignificant and not a cause of worry.

So, you need not to worry, she has tuberculosis(Potts spine) of D9-D10 level only. If you can upload previous report then I can help you better.

To see improvement, some decrease in pain and reduction of ESR will be of significance.

You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Wishing your mother a good health.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Reduction in pain ,reduction in ESR are important

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back

After going through your query, old and fresh MRI report I concluded that your mother is having tuberculosis of D9-D10 only. After comparing MRI reports it seems that disease started some improvement. However decrease in pain and decrease in ESR are better indicator of decreased disease activity.

Generally two months of rest is advised. So your Doctor is right in advising further 1month rest as 1 month has already passed.

Rest already discussed.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to me. I will be happy to help. If you have no further clarification or questions then you can close the query and rate the answer.

Wishing your mother a good health.

Take care.
