Brief Answer:
nothing related to injury

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I am Dr Gopal Goel , Orthopedic Surgeon.
From prescription , you had few contusions in your (L) hip region which is also reflected in MRI Report.
Rest of MRI is not very significant apart from " Circumferential Disc bulge at L5-S1 with narrowing of bilateral lateral recesses abutting bilateral nerve roots". This part of report would indicate chronic lower backache with or without nerve pressure( to be determined on clinical examination).
Rest of the report is within normal limits.
If you do not have chronic backache - ignore the report , else go to an orthopedic surgeon for examination and treatment.
I hope to have answered your question. Please feel free to ask any further question.

Dear Sir,

thank you very much for your response. I have confusion or my understanding problem, where did you mention that L5-S1 chronic backache with or without pressure ( to be determined on clinical examination). As you can see, i am consulting a MS Ortho specialist (attached his advise in the report section) and under treatment. He also mentioned like you that there is no slip disc due to injury, i might had this issue previously before accident but where as i met with neuro physician and he advised that i am having a slip disc and if it may increase then lead to surgery. I am really worried, what should I really consider whether I am having a slip disc or not? Any precautions, i should be taking? Thank you very much for your response and time in advance., please guide me to right direction.

Brief Answer:
no definite traumatic slipped disc

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopedic surgeon.
As i had mentioned earlier- traumatic slipped disc has different presentation as compared to non traumatic disc prolapse.
The reason I mentioned " " Circumferential Disc bulge at L5-S1 with narrowing of bilateral lateral recesses abutting bilateral nerve roots". This part of report would indicate chronic lower backache with or without nerve pressure( to be determined on clinical examination)." is that we are not treating MRI's. MRI is only a help in determining the cause of back pain. If you don't have any back pain , then forget about this MRI. But if you have back pain with pressure on the nerves( seen as pain radiating to leg or numbness in legs) then you need treatment ( may be surgical) and if there is only back pain and no pressure on the nerves then only conservative treatment is enough.
I hope I have clearly explained the interpretation of MRI and clinical condition.
Please feel free to ask any further question.

Brief Answer:
Normal would be around 10 mm

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr.Gopal.Goel, Orthopedic Surgeon
Your question is about thr diameter of canal at L4_5 level.
We take diameter more than 10 mm to be normal. however the diameter depends on body structure also.
I hope to have answered your question.
