Question: I have received my MRI and it states: Lateral protrusion/herniation of the L4-L5 disc into the right L4-L5 neural foramina creating foraminal stenosis. Also Mild multilevel degnerative disc disease and degenerative facet arthrosis. What are my options for treatment? How will this diagnosis affect my lifestyle.

Brief Answer:
Treatment depends on symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

According to MRI results there are two problems of your vertebral column.

There is degenative column disease and herniated disc disease at lumbar level.

Treatment options depend on cliNovalgin findings correlated with MRI findings.

Degenative disease can be treated with rest, avoiding wheight lifting, NSAID drugs and, when pain subsides, physical therapy.

Herniated disc is treated first conservatively with above mentioned treatment modalities.

If these treatment modalities fail to improve your symptoms, then surgery about nerve decomprression is indicated.

Life style modifications include loosing weight, avoiding wheight lifting, smoke etc.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
