Brief Answer:
Possibility of wrong dates to be ruled out

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read your query in detail. The situation you are in is very commonly seen. Usually the heart activity in a fetus is visible in the 7th week but in few cases this can be before of after. At times your dates may not be reliable and in such circumtsances its best for your doctor to decide if you still need to wait till the 10th week. There are two other measurements which need to be kept in mind which are the gestational sac diameter and the CRL. If the dates put the age at 7 weeks and the gestational sac diameter and CRL also indicate an age of 6 to 7 weeks then its best to wait and watch. Please discuss possibility of wrong dates with your doctor before deciding to abort.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
